This is the piece we will present for the speech choir competition. This piece was taken from the Tragedy of Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe. This is the line from the piece which is in different language:
O lente, lente currite noctis equi
It actually means:
Slowly, slowly run, O horses of the night
The meaning of this line is that it sums up Faustus' desperation and tragic nature very thoroughly. Once he didn't believe in death or in hell, sadly, how he realizes that those two things are the only reality he will have from then on.
