Q: True or False: A number is either a rational or an irrational, but not both.

A: True! In decimal form, a number is either non-terminating and non-repeating (so it's an irrational) or not (so it's a rational); there is no overlap between these two number types!

Q: Ano pinagkaiba ng natural sa whole number?

A: Kapag natural un ung mga 1,2,3,4,5.. (counting numbers). Kapag whole naman, natural numbers kasama ang 0.

Q: Ano yung irrational numbers?

A: Non-terminating and non-repeating. Example: pi

Q: E ano naman tawag sa mga hindi real?

A: Imaginary

Q: True or False: An integer is a rational number.

A: True. kasi ung mga integer pwede mo naman lagyan ng /1 para maging rational e

Q: True or False: A rational is an integer.

A: False. Rational numbers are fractional. Not all fractions are integers such as 2/3.

All About Math Day

We have no classes last January 11, 2008 because it is Math Day. The Math Department -- teachers and officers prepared some games for that day and they made each MunScian's day very great and full of enjoyment.

The Math Day started with the cheering competition wherein each group have to prepare their cheer/yell. The winner for this competition is the Rediquit team. It was then followed by random games such as Text the Answer, Tug-of-grades, and many more. I was supposed to be a player for the game, "Text the Answer". But since I'm not really that good in Math, I did not join the game. Ehehe! I just listed my name on the game "Longest Pace," but it was not played. So sad! :(

After these games, there was the Dance Revo wherein every sections have to dance to the song "Hey Mickey!" The class is divided into half. The first half joins the Dance Revo and the other in the Song Revo. I was included in the Song Revo. Uhmm... No questions asked. Hahaha! Our section was not really prepared for the Dance Revo competition. They actually thought of backing out of the competition. But they didn't. Good for them. They only thought that this competition is just for fun. And yeah, they had fun during their dance. All of the sections who performed were good but the most noticing performances were by Pauli, Pascal, Pasteur and Priestley.

In the evening, we presented the Song Revo. Honestly, we only practiced our song to the tune of 12 Days of Christmas hours before the presentation. For me, we did a good job on stage even though only our section presented a comic performance. Most of them were serious. Maybe because the highlight of our performance is none other than me. Hehe! We just had fun like what our classmates on Dance Revo did.

Talking about the camp, I would say that this camp, the Math Camp, is the best camp ever. I really had fun and I enjoyed everything especially what happened before the night ends. we had bands who performed great and we watched spectacular fireworks right after.

First time ko makaperfect ng quiz sa Advanced Algebra. 20 out of 20. Saya-saya! Yihee. Tungkol yun sa Matrices... yung adding, multiplying, etc. Tuwang-tuwa nga ako dun sa lesson na yun eh. Hehe! Kaya lang ang baba nung resulta nung sa 1st part nung summative test ko. Haha! Kanina nga pala tinest yung 2nd part nung test na yun. Tungkol yun sa matrices. Sana naman maitama ko yung mga yun. Hehe ^_^

Isa pang 100. Kaya lang ang babaw. 100 na yung testimonials ko sa Friendster Account ko. Hehe. Binigyan kasi ako ni Patricia eh. Thanks, Patty! Yun lang. Sige.

Kanina sa Trigonometry, may summative test kami. Nakakainis! Bakit? Kasi naman eh. Nakalimutan ko yung COSINE LAW, yung formula! Eto kasi yung totoo:

a² = b² + c² - 2bc CosA

Nagkamali ako. Wala akong 2 dun sa bc... dapat 2bc. Argh! Nag-imbento na naman ako. Grabe! Mali na ako sa ilan sa mga items sa test ii at sa problem solving! Dapat pala SINE LAW nalang yung ginamit ko. Walah!

Maiba ko... bago na naman yung friendster, yung mga profile! Papansin eh. Hehe! Pero ayos lang. Bahala sila dun. Imbento nila eh. IMBENTO! Haha!

One week, atbp.

Hayy... last day na ng klase kanina. Sembreak na! Kaya lang one week rin akong tutunganga sa bahay! Matagal-tagal rin yun! Hahaha! Biro lang. Marami rin naman akong gagawin, kain, tulog, nood ng tv, computer, at marami pang iba. Magbabasa rin ng 12 little things?! Siguro. Hehe!

Tumaas yung resulta ng tests ko sa halos lahat ng subjects, maliban lang sa Trigonometry at Algebra. Hayy... Math nga naman! Line of 2 ako sa parehas na yun eh... out of 50! 27 sa Trigo. Wag na yung algebra... masyadong mababa! Wawa naman ako... :-(

Ano pa ba?! Ayun! Napakaraming projects na pinasa kanina. Yung sa values namin, sinimulan lang kaninang umaga at natapos rin ng hapon. Haha! Maayos-ayos rin naman kahit papano.

Yun lang po. Sige. Babye! ^_^
